FAQs for Button Design Studio: Pro

What is Feature Finder for?

Answer

Feature Finder helps when you know the name of a feature but do not remember where that panel lives in the interface.

You can switch between basic and advanced shortcuts and jump directly to controls such as Fonts (Add/Delete), Hex Colors (Add/Delete), Tagline Setup, Background Gradient Controls, or Enhancement Ring Controls.

Inside the advanced panels, the Advance to Next Panel button steps you to the next panel in the rotation so you can move through related controls without backing out to the launcher first.

What does the dashed line indicate?

Answer

The dashed line is a suggested safety area. Many users keep important names, dates, logos, and faces inside it so those details do not end up too close to the edge.

You can also treat it as a preference. Some people like more breathing room, while others prefer to work closer to the outer edge. Use Dashed Line Controls when you want to fine tune that guide position.

Can I drag items on the canvas?

Answer

Yes. Imported images, backgrounds used as artwork, and straight text fields can be repositioned directly on the preview by dragging them.

Dragging is often the fastest way to center a face, logo, or extra text field while watching the dashed guide at the same time.

What do the CS and CA pills do?

Answer

The compact CS and CA pills give you quick centering without taking up much space in the text panels.

CS centers the selected text field left to right only. CA centers all text fields left to right only. Both buttons leave the vertical position alone.

Why choose a button size before downloading?

Answer

The selected button size controls the printable layout and preview sheet. It tells Pro how many button images belong on the exported PDF page.

Choose the final size before exporting so the PDF layout matches the button you actually plan to make.

How do I print my design?

Answer

You do not print directly from Button Studio: Pro. Export your design as a PDF first, then open that PDF in a program that can print PDF files.

  • Windows: Adobe Acrobat Reader, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome.
  • Mac: Preview, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Google Chrome.
For accurate sizing, print at 100% or Actual Size and avoid Fit to Page or automatic scaling.

How do I use saved text layouts?

Answer

Choose a saved text layout from the start screen, then click Use This Saved Text Layout to open the studio with that layout loaded.

The picker stays available while you are browsing saved text layouts, so you can compare different designs before you commit to one.

How do I clear text or open the enhancement ring from the photo panel?

Answer

Open Image Controls and use DTF to delete all text fields except the tagline when you want a photo-only style or a background image that already includes its own text.

Use Add Enhancement Ring to open the enhancement ring controls directly below the image tools so you can keep adjusting the photo while you work on the ring settings.

How does the inline enhancement ring work?

Answer

When you click Add Enhancement Ring inside Image Controls, the ring controls appear directly below the image sliders instead of moving you to a separate panel.

That lets you adjust the photo, the ring, and the rest of the image settings in one place without losing sight of the upload and edit controls.

Can I upload fonts and use them in Button Studio: Pro?

Answer

Yes. Open Fonts (Add/Delete) to upload fonts, manage imported fonts, and make those fonts available in your text fields. There are many websites where you can download free fonts to use in your designs. Simply Google "Free Fonts" and take your pick.

This is the place to add custom fonts for campaign work, school designs, business branding, church events, or any other repeat style you want to keep consistent.

When you use the Advance to Next Panel button from the font panel, Pro moves you to the next advanced panel in the rotation instead of leaving you in the same spot.

I have specific hex colors I want to use. Is there an easy way to access them?

Answer

Yes. Open Hex Colors (Add/Delete) in Advanced Features.

Use the horizontal picker line first to explore and select colors. Click the rainbow-colored color picker to access the full color spectrum for more precise selection. When you want to reuse a color elsewhere in your design, use the Saved Hex Colors shown below. If there's a color you plan to use regularly, add it using the Hex Color control. This places it in the second line of swatches, making it easy to reuse throughout the studio.

The Advance to Next Panel button moves from Hex Colors to the next advanced setup panel so you can keep stepping through the controls in order.

Why hex colors matter

Hex colors keep your button designs consistent and make it easy to reuse the exact same shade across future layouts, logos, and brand colors.

What is a tagline?

Answer

A tagline is optional back-curl information such as contact details, a website, a business name, or a short message. It is a simple and cost effective way to advertise your button-making business.

Open Tagline Setup when you want to add, edit, show, hide, or style that information.
