Troubleshooting Page for Button Design Studio:Pro
Issue-specific recovery steps for common Pro problems
Browse Troubleshooting Topics
Refresh And Browser
The app looks outdated or is acting strangely after changes
- Refresh the page and try again.
- If the browser still shows an older version, do a hard refresh.
- On Windows, try Ctrl + F5. On Mac, try Command + Shift + R.
Buttons, sliders, or toggles do not respond the way you expect
- Click once outside the canvas, then try the control again.
- Make sure another panel is not covering the control you want.
- Try again in Chrome, Edge, or Safari if you are using a different browser.
A refresh fixes more issues than people expect, especially after recent updates or when the browser has cached an older version.
Images And Uploads
The image file name appears, but I do not see the image on the design
- Open Image Controls and check Size first.
- Drag the image on the preview in case it loaded off-center.
- Reduce extreme stretch or rotation settings if you changed them heavily.
An image I have never used before will not load
- Try a common image type such as PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP.
- Open the image outside Pro first to make sure the file itself is valid.
- If the image is extremely large, resize it and try again.
- Refresh the page before trying again if uploads were failing a moment ago.
The same image loads, but a different new image does not
- Refresh the page and try the new file again.
- Choose the file again carefully and wait for the image controls to finish updating.
- If needed, test the same file after renaming it or exporting a fresh copy from your graphics program.
The image looks stretched, dull, or oddly cropped
- Return stretch controls closer to their default values.
- Use Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, and Exposure for image cleanup rather than overusing stretch.
- Reimport the image if you want to restart from a clean version.
I want to clear text or add the enhancement ring from the photo panel
- Open Image Controls first.
- Use DTF to delete all text fields except the tagline when you want a photo-only layout or a background image that already includes its own text.
- Click Add Enhancement Ring to show the ring controls directly below the image tools so you can keep adjusting the photo at the same time.
- If DTF is hidden, make sure a photo is loaded and the photo panel is open.
Text And Fonts
Text is missing or not where I expect it
- Click the text directly on the preview to jump to its controls.
- Check whether that field is using a very small size, wide spacing, or an extreme position value.
- Use the CS pill to recenter one text field left to right, or the CA pill to recenter all text fields at once.
- For extra fields, drag the text directly on the preview if you need to bring it back into view.
A custom font does not appear in the font lists
- Open Fonts (Add/Delete) and confirm the font actually imported.
- Use common font file types such as TTF, OTF, WOFF, or WOFF2.
- Refresh the page once after importing if the list looks stale.
I want to remove imported fonts
- Open Fonts (Add/Delete).
- Use Delete Font to reveal the delete manager.
- Select the imported fonts you no longer want, then use Delete Selected Font(s).
Colors And Panels
A color I used is not appearing in the design color list
- Click the color again so the panel registers the current selection.
- If you are working with the enhancement ring, make sure the ring is actually enabled.
- Refresh the page if a recent UI change seems stuck.
I want exact repeatable colors for future designs
- Open Hex Colors (Add/Delete).
- Save the exact hex values you use often.
- Then reuse those same saved colors across backgrounds, text, outlines, and ring settings.
Feature Finder And Help
I know the feature name but I cannot find the panel
- Open Feature Finder in the center area.
- Switch between Show Basic Features and Show Advanced Features if needed.
- Use the shortcut that matches the current label exactly, such as Fonts (Add/Delete), Hex Colors (Add/Delete), Tagline Setup, Use This Saved Text Layout, or Add Enhancement Ring.
- Reset All Settings now opens its confirmation dialog directly from Feature Finder.
Download And PDF
Nothing happens when I try to download a PDF
- Select a button size first.
- Try the download again after confirming whether you want tagline information included.
- Check whether your browser blocked the download.
The PDF layout looks wrong
- Check the selected button size in the right panel.
- Look at the preview sheet before exporting.
- Download again after changing the size if the current layout does not match the button you are making.
The PDF downloads but will not open
- Try opening it in Preview, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Edge, or Chrome.
- If the file looks incomplete, delete it and export again.
Printing Scale
The printed buttons are too large or too small
- Export as a PDF first.
- In the print dialog, set scaling to 100% or Actual Size.
- Do not use Fit to Page, Shrink to Fit, or automatic scaling.
The PDF preview looks correct, but the printed page does not
- Check the printer software for its own enlargement or resize settings.
- Turn off borderless enlargement or print enhancement options that change page size.
Most print-size problems happen in the printer dialog, not inside Button Studio: Pro.
Saved Text Layouts And Storage
A saved text layout does not seem to load the way I expected
- Load it again once after refreshing the page.
- Check whether you saved the text layout before or after a major round of edits.
- Saved text layouts currently preserve the text layout, settings, and colors, but they do not save uploaded images.
- This is intentional. Keeping images out of the saved file helps reduce memory use and keeps Pro responsive, so it is not a bug.
- If the original design uses a photo or background image, upload that image after loading the saved text layout to finish the design.
- Use the current preview to confirm text, colors, and images before exporting.
I want to browse saved text layouts before committing to one
- Use the saved text layout picker on the start screen to move through your layouts.
- Pick a layout, then click Use This Saved Text Layout when you are ready to open the studio with that layout loaded.
- The picker stays available while you browse, so you do not need to start over just to compare another layout.
I want a safer workflow before major changes
- Use Save Your Text Layouts before experimenting.
- Keep more than one saved text layout version for important customer work instead of overwriting the same text layout every time.
Tagline
I do not understand why Pro is asking about tagline during export
Pro can include optional back-curl information on PDF exports. If you have tagline information saved, the app asks whether you want it included before creating the final output.
I want to change or remove tagline information
- Open Tagline Setup.
- Edit the text, visibility, and styling there.
- If you do not want it used for the export, answer No when the download prompt asks about tagline.
Reset And Recovery
The design has become too cluttered to fix comfortably
- Save the current text layout first if there is anything you may want to reuse later.
- Then use Reset All Settings and confirm the dialog for a clean starting point.
I am not sure whether I should reset or keep adjusting
If several settings are fighting each other at once, reset is often faster than manually undoing a long chain of experiments.
